The British Academy/OUP publication of Lindsay Allason-Jones's The Hinterland of Hadrian's Wall and Derbyshire (CSIR Great Britain I.11) brings to completion the coverage originally envisaged for England when CSIR was founded in 1963.

This publication deals with all classes of sculpture in the north-western region of England, to the south of Hadrian's wall. More than 500 stones are covered, with 250 black and white plates.
