Comments on Subject: SOUTH AMERICA IS A CONTINENT WITH A GREAT VARIETY OF MINERAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTS, WHICH RESUTLED IN MANY DIVERSE CULTURAL ADAPTATIONS, RANGING FROM TEH HEIRARCHICAL SOCIETIES OF THE ANDES MOUNTAIN RANGE TO THE SCATTERED CHIEFDOMS OF THE LOWLAND RAINFORESTS. MANY OF THESE SOCIETIES WERE BASED ON AGRICULTURE, BUT IN THE SOUTH OF THE CONTINENT SMALLER GROUPS DEPENDED MORE ON HUNTING, FISHING AND GATHERING.
