CAVI Lemma: RF cup. From Vulci. Hischylos Painter. Hischylos, potter. Last quarter sixth.
CAVI Subject: Int.: a young athlete using a pick. A: arming (a woman between two warriors).
B: a youth leading a horse.
CAVI Inscriptions: Int.: on the left: hισχυλος. On the right: εποιεσε(ν){1}. B: above the horse:
[---]νος{2}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} the nu is reversed and inclined to the left. Blösch (1940), 8, n. 17,
makes a comparison of this vase with Munich 2036, which seems to be based on a
confusion of the latter with New York 44.11.1 with the well-known Gr. about a
victory in the carding contest. {2} so the dr. in FR; none of the inscriptions
are given in the text.
CAVI Comments: Done from FR.
