- Remarks: Large semicylindrical ridge tile with recessed flange (Th 2, beginning 12.4 above tile bottom edge) with beveled underside, at one end. On either long side, 2 projecting, semicylindrical cover elements (H 29.6, W 28, D 17.1, 21.2 apart & 10.5 from flanged end, 11 from unflanged end), with surrounding concave band (W 3.5) at point of joint with ridge tile, and 2 raised ridges (outermost H 5, W 2, painted red-brown, innermost H 1.9, W 1.2) at outer end for locking into cover tiles of slope. In lower edges of tile, inside the cover elements, square openings (H 8.5, W 7.5) to receive raised side edges of pan tiles; heavy scoring above with sharp instrument. Handpainted oblique, crossing black bands (W 6-7) forming lozenge pattern on top surface.
