  • Remarks: Fragment of central acroterion with painted palmette. Flat vertical plaque attached to end of semicylindrical ridge tile. Plaque thicker towards bottom, Th top 2.4, bottom 3.5. Plaque front painted with 7-petal pendent palmette between 2 S-spirals with small petals in spaces. Th plaque base 3. Underside of ridge tile below vertical plaque is painted with black and dark red-brown stripes on cream ground. Decoration on underside meant to be seen, therefore acroteria projected forward from roof edge. Finished side edges with recessed back edges.
