  • CAVI Subject: Int.: BF: a youth with his stick, running{1}. Ext.: RF: between eyes: a javelin thrower, bending forward. B: similar but not bending forward.
  • CAVI Inscriptions: Int.: around the youth, starting at upper left and ending above his head: in BG: hο ^ παι^ς κ(α)λος{2}. A: above the athlete: an inscription shows in the photo, perhaps a letter plus καλο... (end of picture here).
  • CAVI Footnotes: {1} a hunter rather than a komast (Beazley). {2} widely spaced; only one letter space remains between the beginning and end. Two legs intervene.
  • CAVI Comments: = Vatican 16,515. The attached foot (with the signature of Pamphaios; now removed) is alien and from an earlier cup; see ABV 236/5.
