Remarks: Head of black man from columen/mutuli relief. Small head broken from flat attachment. Break on back has recessed vertical central scar with raised ridges to left and right. At right, flattened edge as if finished. At left, piece is roughly finished to turn inward and painted red on helmet, but at unnatural angle. All proveniences are unsubstantiated in Louvre, except for recent attributions to Tuscania.
