CAVI Lemma: Fr. of BF lip cup. Unattributed. Third quarter sixth.
CAVI Subject: A: handle zone: sphinxes, instead of palmettes, facing the handles. [[Lip
unclear whether plain or decorated.]]
CAVI Inscriptions: A: handle zone: [χαι]ρ̣ε και πριο με{1}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} vacat's before [[χαι]] and after [[με]]. πριο is πριω, `buy'. Hannestad
gives a different text: δερ̣εκαιπριομε, which must be wrong. The photo shows: a
vacat then perhaps one or two traces of letters (?), then a missing piece of ca.
5 letters, then a tiny piece of a rho, the rest clear. At right, another vacat.
Hannestad compares Louvre El(aious) 98, CVA, France 14, pl. 89,1-3 and restores:
χαιρε και πριο με. [See London B 414.]
CAVI Comments: Good letters. [[Size: 58 x 82.]]
CAVI Number: 7236
AVI Bibliography: Hannestad (1989), 5/33, 65/33 (ph.) [[cl.]].
