CAVI Footnotes: {1} so ARV[2]; Pease says: discobolus(?): athlete stooping (parts of shoulder
and upper arm and a bit of the wreath in back of the head). {2} in Eph. and
ARV[2] 1606, s.v. Philokomos, Beazley suggests [Φιλοκο]μο[ς]. The name occurs on
Louvre C 11224 (ARV[2] 89/20, followed by φιλειται; on Berlin 2265 (88/4) as the
name of a youth; and there may be traces of it on the cup frs. Louvre G 87. All
are by the Euergides Painter who is the only one to use the name. See Beazley
