CAVI Footnotes: {1} Metzler. {2} the ph. in the Bea. Arch. shows only a part. Kunst der
Schale, fig. 6.7a shows the whole inscription on A, but small: it begins with a
large epsilon: εον ... (plus 8 imitation blobs) ... λλλοσ. 16 letters in all.
The fourth letter an `Argive' lambda?
CAVI Comments: Thick and indistinct letters, clearer on B than on A. Uncertain readings.
Metzler thought the inscriptions written by an illiterate.
