  • Remarks: Antefix plaque with female head wearing diadem, with 2 long beaded strands of hair at either side of neck & chest, flanked by lotus leaves/flat fascia ending in pendent lotus, below upper frame of 7 convex strigils. Lotus type A III, larger size. This piece, like one in Frankfurt a.M. Historische Museum, may be from antefix; but flatness of back (cf. 512) may suggest formed part of plaque(?).
