  • Remarks: Fragment of hollow, handmade bird body (Th wall 1.3) with painted elongated upright scale pattern on chest, horizontal scale pattern pointing towards tail on sides, separated by 2 rows of feathers pointing towards tail, painted & rendered in relief, with inner upper row smaller then outer recessed row. Scales: black outline on cream ground with purple-red central dot. Feathers: alternately black or red outline; on right side, each feather has central band alternately red or black contrasting with outline; on left side, outline only. Round scroll (W 3.3, Diam ca. 4.2) at bottom with black outlined edge & central red stripe; central hole (Diam 1.6) with red outline. May have been others attached to bottom
