Remarks: Human head antefix. Found with 85-81 oriented north-south, side-by-side, facing south, inward from north edge of building, filled with clay/plaster, mixed with burned soil. Underside of tile has impressions of sand, finger line of clay bonding plaque to cover tile. Eyes have moulded lids. No ears, no neck, triangular pointed nose. Finished chin edge. Singe hair strand at sides of face. Hair rendered in fine herringbone tresses at sides and probably also top of forehead. H cover tile flange 5.8. W cutout notch in tile backer 3.7, H 2. W cover tile front 15.4, back 13.5, H front 9.5, back 7. Th plaque 1.5. Plaque rises above cover tile top. H overhang 2.
