CAVI Lemma: Fr. from foot of cup. From Athens, Agora H 8-10(?). Unattributed. [--]s,
potter. Third quarter sixth.
CAVI Subject: Decoration not preserved.
CAVI Inscriptions: Under the foot, in BG: [--](.)ς εποιεσ̣[εν]{1}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} so my reading: the first sigma is preceded by a near horizontal stroke at
ground level, not an omicron or epsilon. M.&P. give [---]ς only. The extra
stroke could conceivably be from an upsilon or chi: Salax, Thrax??
CAVI Comments: For signatures under the foot see AttScr (1990), 49 and n. 47. M.&P. refer to
some of the cups mentioned there: Agora P 7902 (Nikosthenes); Tarentum I.G. 4435
and 4434, both Droop cups by Antidoros (ABV 159/1 and 160/2). But the verb lacks
the iota in these and the handwriting is different.
