- CAVI Lemma: Fr. of alabastron (RF?). From Athens. Unattributed. Date unclear.
- CAVI Subject: Mouth only; no decoration preserved.
- CAVI Inscriptions: On the topside of the mouth, a circular inscription: Outer circle:
κ[.](.)οσυομθε. Inner circle: σολα. Graef–Langlotz, text: καλος|εκ...οσλομθ.
Peek: perhaps: κ[αλ]ος υος Θεσ[σ]αλο{2}. Beazley: outer circle: Λοσθε
κ[αλ]ος{3}. Inner circle: κ[α]λος{3}. [[But inner circle is clearly αλοσ, so no
'A.W.'.]]
- CAVI Footnotes: {1} addendum to AJA 35, in which B. gives some vi A.D. parallels for λουσθε
καλως. {2} with Σ by mistake. {3} `Wash well,' the alabastron for communal use?
{3} the kappa of the outer line doing double duty.
- CAVI Comments: Note that Graef–Langlotz and Peek restore as a partial spiral, which should
be considered. The four-stroke sigma is bothersome, as it looks more like a low
mu.
