Remarks: Ridge acroterion of Herakles and stag. Stag is missing head, was lying on back with front legs bound together, hooves turned back, and Herakles' left foot was on chest. Ribs are modelled ridges. Large support against side of stag and between Herakles' legs with part of outer palmette mounted on his left buttock, with lion paw overlapping it. Decoration of lion-skin: part of jaw preserved over Herakles' right ear and mouth (with black teeth outlined?) on head top. Edge around neck has relief red-brown flame locks. Paw tied in Herakles knot. On outer edge of skin on chest brown-black outer area with inner edge flame pattern, which continued over shoulders and down back. Inner yellow area has brown-black wavy lines indicating hair, also on edge over stomach. On back side of support, upright palmette at top has concave leaves curving outward at tips on right side similar to strigil shell antefixes. Broken off darts between leaf tips. On inside, volutes have concave channels with raised edges, upright palmette above has 3 flat leaves on right half, 4 concave and curved at tips on left side. Lion tail overlaps front of palmette and left volute. Th wall 1.6-1.9. W shoulders 52, L left foot 26. MPL stag 96, MD 26, MH 66, Diam holes 4.2-4.7. H plinth 6, W 60, D 38.2. D support 16.5. MPH inner palmette and volutes 42. H inner volutes 19.7. MPH back palmette and double spirals 77.7, RW top 25, W bottom 51. W double spirals: MPW top 32.5, bottom 51, H 48.7 left to 49.5 right. Diam holes in bottom spirals: left 5.5, right 4.8. W concave S-spirals channel 5.8. Hole longitudinal through top of plinth/bottom of stag's body W 6.8, H 8.5. Torso and limbs hollow including feet. Large hole in upper back. Right foot extends beyond plinth (toes). Restorations in 2008 have replaced both legs.

Paint: Dark brown skin, raised edges of spirals, alternating upright palmette leaves (5R 3/2 face). Mixture of black and red-purple paints (5R 3/1 chest). Cream lion-skin head and knotted paws at neck, edge of skin pulled around waist, stag body, S-spiral channels, leaf below top of plinth, darts on support upright palmette and leaf edges 10YR 5/4. Dark yellow-brown lion skin around waist and outer edges of back, with flame pattern edge, spiny ridge down center back of lion skin, wavy lines on cream central part of skin 10YR 4/2. Black ground on support around pendent palmette between spirals, alternating pendent palmette leaves, alternating upright palmette leaves, conical volute eyes. Red-brown flame edge on lion skin at neck 2.5YR 3/4.
