CAVI Subject: Handle zone: A: a chariot wheeling around; a warrior. B: similar.
CAVI Inscriptions: Handle zone: A: to left of the scene: [h]ερμογενες. The verb is lost on the right.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} the attribution is uncertain. According to Beazley, the chariot cups signed Hermogenes may or may not be by the same hand as the head cups: see ABV 164-65 and AttScr (1990), 51, where I point out that many of the Hermogenes signatures must be by one hand. Our vase does not seem to belong to that group (note the rho).
CAVI Comments: Small letters, rather neat. Regular rho (not with the extended vertical).
