399, Wedding of Peleus and Thetis. Hephaistos, standing, in short dress, handing a sword and a shield (with cross-hatched brim) to Peleus, seated with dress round his waist on a backless throne. Beyond is Thetis, standing veiled. Inscribed in Greek on Peleus' low footrest ADMON.
