  • Remarks: Fragment of convex shield (Diam 25.2, Th edge .9, Th center 6.4, W outer recessed edge 1.2-1.3) broken through middle. Inside uneven & lumpy with thick (2.4-2.6) crosswall across center & scar of 2nd at right angle to attach shield to figure. Inside has cream edge (W 1.3-1.9), inside of which surface painted purple-red. Outer decoration: outer edge red-brown, central disk with whirligig pattern (W 7) of alternating red/cream/black crescents radiating from red central circle (Diam 1.5) with outer black band (W .6), above which black wave pattern on cream ground. From 2nd group of warriors at opposite end of ridge from 12463?
