Remarks: Antefix plaque with female head in diadem, flanked by lotus leaves with large disks at base of each, bordered by a flat fascia ending in a pendent lotus bud (H 7.2, W 5.3). Hair falls in double beaded strands from below ears, encircling bottom of lotus. Recessed base with painted hook meander. On back, flat plaque with 2 oblique support ridges running from cover tile top to outer side edges, semicircular in section

Paint: Golden surface 10YR 6/4. Red 10R 4/3 flat recessed area inside pendent lotus, edges of large lotus leaves, volute band above head, disk edges, recessed edge above base & pendant hooks of meander; traces on back of plaque. Black hair, bottom band & upright hooks of meander on base.
