CAVI Subject: Head and upper body of Theseus (bearded).
CAVI Inscriptions: Above the head, at some distance: Θεσευ[ς], retr.
CAVI Comments: Very neat writing. Perhaps Theseus is present with Akamas and Demophon
leading their horses, as on the Berlin neck amphora (Beazley). Bothmer informed
Shapiro that Malibu 78.AE.305 (q.v.) is not from the same vase, as had been
thought, since the thickness of the frs. is different.
