Remarks: Antefix plaque with small female head in diadem, surrounded by floral elements: at either side of head, lotus leaves bordered by a flat fascia ending in a volute, above head 5 thick cordoned tongues of palmette. "Krobylos" hairdo with 2 beaded strands coiled over & around ears, falling downwards toward neck & drawn upwards again to be held in place by bands alongside bottom of ears. Th lotus tip 3.1. All proveniences are unsubstantiated in Louvre, except for recent attributions to Tuscania.

Paint: Cream slip 10YR 7/3. Purple-red 5R 3/3: inner band of alternating convex strigils (2nd, 4th), diadem, ear outlines, lips, necklace, upper and lower band on chiton edge, central palmette, leaf below, edge of lotus leaves, calyx center and outline, outline of volutes and flat band and X decorations, top band of base meander and 2 upper squares. Black: 1st, 3rd, 5th strigil/ palmette leaf, inner outline, hair, eyes, wavy line on neck, 1st and 3rd palmette leaves below chiton edge, center of lotus leaf, dots on cream ground border of calyx, volute eyes, center of horizontal band and dart below, bottom band of base and 3 squares.
