  • Remarks: Raking sima vertical plaque with flat fascia with groove in top (D 4) for insertion of cresting/tall convex strigils with rounded tips/roll with painted diagonal bands/fascia with relief figured frieze of triga, biga & walking warriors, moving to left/pierced torus painted with zigzag bands. Triga with 3 winged horses (L front horse torso 15.7), chariot (H 4.2) driven by woman wearing tutulus. Beside biga (H 5.9) walks man wearing petasus & carrying lituus (augur or Hermes). Worn mould. At back, remains of flat tile backer & 2 thick struts, one leaving scar on tile top, 6 cm. from back of vertical plaque. On back near top edge 2 red painted large ciphers: V to left & VI to right (placement marks).
