CAVI Lemma: RF amphora. Syleus Painter. First quarter fifth.
CAVI Subject: A: a citharode and a man. B: a jumper and a trainer.
CAVI Inscriptions: Under the foot, Grr.: listed in Johnston (1979), cat. as: ΛΕ. ΕΜ. ΚΡΟ. The
facs. however, shows only: ΕΜΛΕΚΙ̣, probably with a break following.
CAVI Comments: Johnston, p. 216: he agrees with Milne that ΛΕ is a vase name [λε[κυθοι]].
For ΕΜ see p. 217 under 18E: perhaps εμ[βαφια]. For ΚΡΟ Milne suggested
κρω[σσοι], pitchers, which could refer to the inscribed vase [if in sing.?].
Hence three vase names?
