- Remarks: Gorgoneion antefix with shell frame. H shell from tongue at lower edge 4.4, with border at top 7.1. W 2.4, + border 3.4, W shell from tongue at top 3.2, + border 4.3. W rounded moulding 1.1. W flat recessed inner band 1. Diam central volute eye 1.9. W head at bottom 16.1, W at earrings level 14.9. Disk earrings. H hair on top 2.3. L lower fangs 2.9. W tongue 3.3. Back flat and smooth with scar of tile on lower half, with rounded knot at apex and narrow sharply slanting scar for cover tile, showing dark gray core. Bought by P. Arndt. 3 old holes from mounting. Few traces of color on front. Slightly convex tongues, but fairly flat; shell does not have deep curvature, but is almost flat. Outer fangs upright. Inner corners of eyes very deep-set. Worn mould. No teeth visible.
