CAVI Collection: Olympia, Museum (cup of Phidias).
CAVI Lemma: BG mug. From Olympia. Unattributed. Third quarter fifth.
CAVI Subject: No figured decoration.
CAVI Inscriptions: On the bottom, Gr. in two horizontal lines: Φειδιο :* ει|μι.
CAVI Comments: AA reports: the stereomicroscope showed that there is `Sinter' in the letters
ΙΟΕΙ of the Gr. The omicron lies under the break and thus must be older:
`eindeutig mit diesem (the break) zusammen verschliffen'. I am still doubtful
about the authenticity of the inscription.
CAVI Number: 5793
