CAVI Lemma: RF cup. From Chiusi? Epiktetos. Last quarter sixth.
CAVI Subject: Int.: reclining satyr drinking from a large amphora. Ext.: plain.
CAVI Inscriptions: Int.: below the reserved line: Επικτετος. Around the field, curved: εγραφσεν.
CAVI Comments: Ex Archaeological Society and Robinson Collection. Lissarrague (1990a),
13-14, fig. 3 (sketch with inscriptions): the sketch shows Επικτ[ε]^τος (upside
down; the tail intervenes) and εγρ^α^φσ^[ε]ν, but that may not be accurate. L.
also says the satyr is drinking, as I do in CAVI, but it looks more as if he
were looking into the amphora to see if there is any wine left.
CAVI Number: 1922
