Last Recorded Collection: Heidelberg, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität, Antikensammlung der Universität Heidelberg
Publication Record: Immerwahr, H., A Corpus of Attic Vase Inscriptions, Preliminary Edition (1998): 3943
CAVI Collection: Heidelberg.
CAVI Lemma: Fr. of pottery. Unattributed. Date? *R. Hampe, AA 1969,
107-108.
CAVI Subject: No figured decoration mentioned.
CAVI Inscriptions: Gr. on sherd apparently in four lines:
[--ca.5 --]ς
[--ca.3 --]λ? ευς
[.]π? ολονιδες(1)
CAVI Footnotes: (1)the first extant letter in line 2 could be sigma. Line
three is uncertain; if pi is read correctly, [Ο]π? ολονιδες
could be for Ophelonides, cf. DAA 120 and 291 ( Οφολονιδες).
Why not: [Α]πολ[λ]ονιδες(?).
CAVI Comments: If the Gr. is really in four lines, it should be a list
of names, not an ostracon (Hampe).
