CAVI Inscriptions: On a red circle, Gr.: [μ]νήσομαι Nικασιην ὑπὸ γαί[ας].
CAVI Comments: The vase is Attic (Orsi). Orsi takes the name to be Nικα (gen. Nικας) and
declares the rest of the name to be obscure. I would prefer Nικασίη, but the
acc. presents a problem. The inscription is funerary with a poetic phrase. Orsi
considered the inscription genuine, but reported it together with forgeries.
