Remarks: Human head antefix. Found with 85-83 oriented north-south, side-by-side, facing south, inward from north edge of building, filled with clay/plaster, mixed with burned soil. Underside of tile has impressions of sand, finger line of clay bonding plaque to cover tile. Large oval section of tile surface expanded/burst outward, underside intact. Eyes have moulded lids. No ears, no neck, triangular pointed nose. Finished chin edge. Singe hair strand at sides of face. Hair rendered in well-preserved fine herringbone tresses at sides and probably also top of forehead. H cover tile flange 5.9. W cutout notch in cover tile backer 3.9. Th plaque 2. Plaque equal to top of cover tile. H overhang 4.
