Comparanda: Herakles and Athena acroterion from Rome, S. Omobono
Remarks: Fragment of left section of chest of Herakles wearing lion-skin with knotted paws, with paw to right preserved, painted light brown with short black lines giving texture of fur. On raised section of lion-skin above and on top part of pelt pulled over abdomen, painted light brown, black flame-shaped lines indicating tufts of fur. Edges of lion-skin have painted black line. Underneath lion-skin, white tunic with wavy black lines indicating folds. Hollow, handmade. Th wall 2.2 (neck) - 6.2. Probably central acroterion
