Remarks: Sicilian-style geison revetment plaque broken on all sides, preserving painted double guilloche in bichrome red and purple on white ground. Elaborate design with each strand bichrome, alternating purple/white with white and red outlines, red/purple with white outlines with central red circles. Interstices alternately a palmette of 5 alternating red/purple leaves radiating from red circle, flanked by double red arcs radiating from red circle (outer arc with white dots). Hand painted, though points of compass visible inside circles. Campanian.
