CAVI Lemma: Fr. of RF skyphos. From Athens. Unattributed. Second quarter fifth. Ca. 460
(Graef–Langlotz).
CAVI Subject: A: youth with chlamys and spear.
CAVI Inscriptions: A: to right of his chin: Λυ̣[---]{1}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} Graef–Langlotz, text, gives only an upsilon, but the photo shows a clear
Attic lambda plus a stroke going diagonally to right.
CAVI Comments: If my reading of the photo is correct, this should be a name: either the name
of the youth or a kalos-name; it is too late for the kalos-names Lykos and Lysis
who belong in the first quarter of the century, but Lyandros is a possibility
(see ARV[2] 1595).
CAVI Number: 1387
