The Classical Art Research Centre is collaborating with a major new Danish project on the art and archaeology of pilgrimage from classical Greece to late antiquity. Led by Dr Troels Myrup Kristensen of Aarhus University, the project is funded by a prestigious 'Sapere Aude' grant of 7 million kroner (£765,000) from the Danish Council for Independent Research.
Within the framework of the project, Dr Kristensen will work at CARC as a Research Associate in the latter half of 2014, organizing events that build on and stimulate Oxford research on ancient pilgrimage art.
