A sea-deity shown as a man-fish. He attends many marine occasions, with Poseidon, Nereus or Thetis. In archaic Athenian art he is shown wrestling Herakles in the scheme otherwise used for the hero fighting Nereus, but he is apparently not capable of mutations.
