One of the Giant Kyklopes, one-eyed. He is visited by Odysseus and his companions on their way back from Troy. He makes them captive and starts eating them. They make him drunk and then put out his eye with a sharpened stake. They escape from his cave by clinging to the bellies of his flock which he lets pass.
