6. Deities and adorants
These are almost all essentially versions of Egyptian figures and groups, not unlike the subjects of many of the pre-Persian scarabs in the Phoenician and Punic world. I have not assumed that, for example, all the hawk-headed figures need be Horus; they are at any rate often duplicated and much here seems to be religious in tone rather than in specific intent. But some identities are more clearly expressed. Many of the lesser figures are nondescript, with dress features that might be eastern as much as Egyptian.
