  • Remarks: Plaque A (smaller size): large hollow torus (H 10.7, Th 2.4) with incised & painted scale pattern/cavetto with concave tongues/thin fascia (H 0.7, Th 2.3)/relief frieze with triga to left, followed by biga with winged horse, female passenger, man on foot in far ground. Concave tongue ridges muted, but parts of figured scene from crisp mould, especially horses with trappings. Depression in haunch of winged horse: mould defect or done after moulding? RL left horse 15.4, right horse 16.6, H head of right horse 6.1. W triga near horse head 2.0, W 3 horse heads 4.4. 3 nail holes in torus & 1 in cavetto.
