  • Remarks: Raking sima Type I decorated with white-on-red painted tongue pattern/anthemion/diagonal bands. Preserves beginning of cavetto with painted tongues alternately red/white, above horizontal white line; pendent circumscribed palmettes with 3 leaves, with pendent 2 leaves between; horizontal white line with white diagonal bands below. H palmette 9.8, H bottom border 2.9. On soffit, painted design D 6.9, possible small version of palmette band with wide white band at far edge W 1.5. Th plaque 3.4 bottom, thinner at top. Finished right edge of tile backer. Back of plaque follows curve of cavetto front, Th 1.5.
