Remarks: Floral revetment plaque. H flat fascia above concave tongues 1.1, with strigil tops 3.2. Concave tongues with secondary inner ridges W 2.2. Nail hole, Diam 0.8. Roll with diagonal bands. Central fascia with painted double guilloche, free-hand and irregular. 2 nail holes. 2nd roll with diagonal bands in opposite direction. Curtain frieze with relief of bow volutes with central large flat black disk, Diam 3.7, below which small pendent lotus 5.7 hanging from smaller brown ball. To either side, pendent from banded volutes, pendent palmette of 7 cordoned leaves, beginning with half palmette at left edge. Bottom edge cutout. 2 nail holes, Diam 0.8. D flat fascia 6, Th at top of strigils 7.5, strigils 2.5, roll 2.8, below roll 1.8. All proveniences are unsubstantiated in Louvre, except for recent attributions to Tuscania.

Inside of strigil inner ridges painted red-purple or black vertical central stripes alternating. diagonal bands on upper roll brown(?), red, black, cream, red. Double guilloche in red and black on cream ground. diagonal bands on 2nd roll brown(?), black, red, black. Central palmette leaf painted black at center, red to either side. Surface slip light brown 7.5YR 6/4-5/4. Red-purple 7.5R 4/2, 7.5R 3/2 where lacquered.
Condition: Fragmentary but complete height and width preserved.
