Remarks: Central acroterion of winged Victory. High relief applied to heavy flat plaque whose margins divide at top and sides into wings, at lower sides into streaming drapery. Long chiton and apoptygma girdled below breasts. Left foot has simple shoe with overhanging tongue. Right arm raised, left along side. Wings lowered. Body hollow, mouldmade and then applied to plaque. 2 holes in back of plaque probably for metal struts. Plaque originally extended below feet of figure to form a notched support fitting over ridge tile. Highest relief 1.05.
