CAVI Collection: Vienna, Kunsthistorisches Museum 1777.
CAVI Lemma: Fr. of RF cup. Unattributed. Last quarter fifth.
CAVI Subject: Int.: a bearded komast with a lyre, singing.
CAVI Inscriptions: Int.: starting to left of his head, along the margin (ending up upside down):
hο π(α)[ι](ς) κ^α^λ^ος, retr.{1}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} The inscription takes up almost 3/4 of the circle. CVA reads hο παι[ς]
καλος, which is possible as the final letter of pais is very slim. The feet and
ends of the himation intervene.
CAVI Comments: Cut down to the tondo. A good ph. in CVA. (better than Langlotz').
CAVI Number: 7927
