Preservation:The surface of the relief is heavily worn , only small sections of the original surface of the figure are preserved on its lower legs, right arm, and the right side of the torso.
Description:Depicted is a figure seated on a rock, facing to the left. Its head and torso are turned backwards. Behind the figure the top section of a thyrsos is visible.
Discussion:The satyr depicted here has turned back to face Dionysos, who reclines on a rock behind him. Like the corresponding figure on the other side of the god (A 141b), he is not involved in the battle fought in the remaining part of the frieze.
For a full discussion of the monument see A 141a.
