"... the inscription ΚΑΛΩΣ ΜΕΛΙΕΥΣ is in an Ionic alphabet, with `Parian' use of the symbol Ε for η [this is not right, cf. Jeffery (1961), 294] and the symbol Ω for Ο [see ibid.]," Beazley (1948); but cf. AttScr (1990), 167.
