- AVI Web: https://www.avi.unibas.ch/DB/searchform.html?ID=4396
- AVI Record Number: 4224
- CAVI Collection: London.
- CAVI Lemma: RF kantharos. Unattributed. Second half fifth.
- CAVI Subject: A: youth before a tall stele. B: similar, but the youth holds a thyrsus.
- CAVI Inscriptions: A: on the stele: πλ[.]νο(ν) (χ)αιρε. B: on the stele: ατια.
- CAVI Footnotes: {1} Walters reads Πλ(α)νον, but I rather think the name is miswritten. The
chi of chaire is given as a Roman `I'. I think the inscriptions are nonsense,
although that on A may be a miswritten kalos-inscription.
- CAVI Comments: W. thinks the scenes funerary, but see, for the subject, Adolphseck 134.
Ionic lambda. Is the vase Attic?
- CAVI Number: 4224
- AVI Bibliography: Walters (1921), 133/5 (not ill.).
- CAVI / AVI Data from Henry Immerwahr's Corpus of Attic Vase Inscriptions (CAVI), updated by Rudoph Wachter's Attic Vase Inscriptions (AVI)
