hερα[κ]λεε[ς]{3}. On the left, down: [Τ]ριτο{ν}νος, retr.{4}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} not remote in style from Berlin inv. 3274, which somewhat recalls the
Rycroft Painter (Beazley). {2} so ABV; Furtwängler read: Κ̣τεσιλεος, with the
comment that the remains make the kappa certain. {3} no final sigma written
(Furtw.). Threatte (1996) reads hεραv.λεε, with discussion. {4} for the false
doubling of nu see Threatte (1980), 533-34 and ii, 761 with correction. The rho
painted over (Furtw.).
