CAVI Subject: Bearded men in conversation: A: a seated man with a scepter and a man; a man,
and a seated man with a scepter. B: a seated man with his stick and a man; a man
with his stick gesticulating with a seated man with a stick. All men are
wreathed and the seated men are sitting on stools.
CAVI Inscriptions: A: to right of the head of the standing man at right (his mouth is open), at
some distance: χ^αιρε συ{2}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} so ARV[2]; in ARV[1] attributed to the Syriskos Painter. {2} the seated
man's scepter intervenes.
CAVI Comments: Kretschmer shows that the inscription is a greeting [i.e., they have just
met]. Tailed rho.
