CAVI Lemma: RF hydria (kalpis). From Nola. Euthymides. Last quarter sixth. 510-500.
CAVI Subject: symposium: two youths reclining.
CAVI Inscriptions: Along the left margin: Μεγακλες | καλος, retr. Along the right margin:
[Σμ]ικυθος (the flautist). Ευθυ[μ]ιδ[ες] εγραφε.
CAVI Comments: For Smikythos, cf. Immerwahr (1982), 63; a Smikythos appears as the father of

Raubitschek would like to identify with the vase painter (DAA, no. 217). For
Megakles see the discussion in CVA.
