CAVI Lemma: RF bobbin. From Athens. Pistoxenos Painter. Second quarter fifth. 460.
CAVI Subject: A: Heracles and Nereus. B: Peleus and Thetis.
CAVI Inscriptions: On B: over their heads: Π̣.ε̣υος. Θετι(ς).
CAVI Comments: My readings are uncertain. The first naame is miswritten. Collignon–Couve
(1902–4), no. 1202, pl. 41, read Π]ελευ{o}ς and that may be correct. - The
letters are unclear, since the applied pink has come off in part. Epsilon is
unusual: like a lower-case h with a horizontal added at the top.
