Remarks: Gorgoneion antefix. Ears have little moulded or painted detail. Shell has black ground with reserved tear-drop to right of ear, above relief volute. Roll has herringbone pattern in white/red/white/black. Unusual rectangular strut on back. Head deeply hollowed in back. Where shell is broken away to left of head clay has horizontal striations/depressions equal to preparation for joining shell to head pre-firing. W tongue 3.6. H volutes top 5.5, bottom 6.5. Distance from back of antefix to end of strut 12.4. New fragment of right corner of shell with volute in relief, excavated at Campo della Fiera.
